Dan Hodgson

Dan Hodgson has extensive merger and acquisition (M&A), business valuation and strategic advisory experience – completing over $1 billion in small to mid-sized business sales during his 15 years in investment banking.  He has represented both private and public companies in matters of sale, purchase and valuation.

Dan aims to cater to the underserved segment that falls between smaller “mom-and-pop” businesses valued under $1 million and large-scale transactions valued at over $75 million. Hodgson’s mission is to offer small and mid-market firms the same level of representation and support that was previously only accessible to much larger companies.

Dan’s primary industries of focus include industrial products (e.g., manufacturing), business and industrial services (e.g. construction) and consumer, food and retail; while also having advised distribution, healthcare and technology and software companies.

Before joining Calhoun Companies, Dan was Managing Director and co-head of the M&A practice at Craig-Hallum Capital Group. Mr. Hodgson received his BBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Minnesota Duluth and his MBA in Investments and Securities from the University of St. Thomas. Dan resides in Edina, MN with his wife and two children.
